# Chat Overlay

The chat overlay is a fully customizable overlay that displays your stream chat on your video feed. This is useful for VODs that are being stored on YouTube or any other external storage space.

This overlay is built with speed in mind from the ground up and can easily thousands of chat messages every second without any problems.

## Customization:
  - Style:
    - Message text colour
    - Message background colour
    - Font and Font Size
    - User Icons − Whether or not to show the user's profile picture in the overlay.
    - Corner rounding of the message boxes
    - The space between each message box
    - The space between the text and the edge of the message box
    - X/Y rotation so you can give it some *perspective*
  - Animation:
    - Fade messages out after a specific amount of time
    - Different effects for when a message is sent
    - Different effects for when a message is removed from the overlay
  - Other:
    - Hiding chat messages that start with a command (\`!\`)
    - Hiding chat messages from specific accounts
    - Change from bottom-to-top chat to top-to-bottom

This overlay will let you show info about a game pulled from Steam! This includes showing game prices, and if you link Steam, it will show your play time!

 (Your Steam profile must be public for play time to work)

This overlay adds visual alerts for bits, follows, raids, and subscriptions. Each alert type can be completely modified to suit your the best it possibly can by selecting from a variety of animations for each alert type.

## Customization:
  - Disable any alert types you don't need or want.
  - For each alert type:
    - Alert Animation
    - Text to Speech (**Pixel-Pro users only**)
    - Background and text colour
    - Two accent colours
    - Alert sound
    - Length of the Alert (not including animation time)
  - Audio Settings:
    - Text-To-Speech voice

# Timers Overlay
Do you need timers on your stream? Well do we ever have the tool for you!

This tool allows you or your mods to create timers in your channel that are visible on your stream's video feed. These timers can either count up to the provided time or down from the provided time. You can create timers for any time duration less than a day (24h maximum).

    - Starting a countdown

    - Stopping the current timer.

This overlay enables you to keep track of information that happens during the stream and displays them in order of largest quantity to smallest quantities so you can thank your contributors at the end of your stream with a credit roll that you commonly see in movies.

This overlay manages your streamathon duration for you. For each event your stream generates it adds a specific amount of time onto the timer for how long you need to stay live for.

**NOTE:** This overlay does not physically force you to stay live.

# Closed Captions Overlay
The Closed Captioning overlay is created to make your stream more accessible for those hard of hearing or to make it so people can still know what you're saying if they have the stream muted.

This overlay uses Google's advanced Speech-To-Text engine to convert your speech using advanced machine learning techniques, because of how the overlay works, this is the only one that requires your browser be open to a specific page while streaming, this page must also be open in Google Chrome.

Due to the entertainment industry standards for closed captioning, this overlay has less customization than all of our other overlays.

    - Background colour (The Standard Recommends: Dark Blue or Black)

Have you ever wanted it to rain emotes? Well now you can by using the Pixel Chat Emote overlay. Providing a way for your viewers to emphasize your stream when something awesome happens. Any emote that they use in your chat will be displayed on your stream with a random size and position.

Users who are **Pixel-Pro** members are also able to link their Spotify account to get direct Spotify integration, bypassing the need for LastFM.

The overlay also displays any new song when you start listening to it.

This overlay enables you to create highly customizable goals for yourself that can be displayed on your stream video. These goals can be set to reset after specific time intervals or until you tell it to reset.

## Statistical Information:
This overlay does not account for previous winners, each giveaway is treated independent of every other giveaway. This can lead to what seems like the overlay unfairly selecting moderators for the winner, this appearance is purely because your mods will be in almost every giveaway (because they're in the channel for hopefully every stream) and because of that they will have the most chances at winning multiple. To get around this, tell your moderators not to enter the giveaway if you don't want them winning.

This overlay will help you make decisions on stream with flair. You pre-determine what choices will be on the spinner for it to pick from.

## Statistical Information:
The chance of any single choice winning is described by the formula:
<code>choice\_weight / total\_weight\_sum</code>
meaning that if one of your choices has a weight of \`5\` and the sum of all weights for the choices is equal to \`10\`, you will have a 50% chance of having the choice with a weight of \`5\` chosen. If you don't want to tamper with the odds of something winning, give everything a weight of \`1\`. If you want something to never be chosen but look like it can be chosen, give it a weight of \`0\`.
